JT HOLMES

NUDOWN ATHLETE

RENO, Nev. (January 25, 2016) – NuDown®, the only outerwear brand for men and women utilizing compressed air for custom insulation, today named extreme athlete JT Holmes, 35, as its first brand ambassador. Skiing professionally since he was 17, Holmes is known for pioneering ski-base jumping and wingsuit flying. Holmes was recently featured on “60 Minutes,” and in April of last year, he ski-base jumped off the west face of the Eiger in Switzerland. As brand ambassador, Holmes will test product, provide input to design, and work with retailers supporting its current collection available now, and the launch of its mid-layer Approach collection later this year.

NuDown, the first brand to introduce on-demand variable insulation, will be available on nudown.com and at select specialty retailers. The line includes six premium technical jackets and vests designed for backcountry skiing, free skiing and other cold pursuits where being able to adjust and control warmth levels impacts performance. Using its proprietary NuTech™ technology, users regulate their warmth levels with air via a stowable pocketsize hand pump that adjusts the amount of air pumped into the garment’s dynamic chambers, resulting in a tailored level of warmth and comfort. It is the only outerwear that enables consumers to control the amount of insulation with a few quick pumps for more warmth, or hitting a release valve for immediate cooling.

“JT’s passion for adventure, and commitment to cutting-edge products, make him an ideal partner for NuDown,” said Bob Hall, CEO of NuDown. “We look forward to supporting JT in his upcoming projects and utilizing his expertise in developing clean technology products for our consumers.”
